Glomerular hyperfiltration: An independent risk factor and predictor of advanced coronary artery disease.

Objective: To determine frequency and patterns of coronary artery disease in patients with glomerular hyper filtration (GHF), presented acute syndrome (ACS). Study Design: Cross Sectional, Retrospective study. Setting: Tertiary Healthcare Centre, Karachi. Period: July 2018 to 2021. Material & Methods: Twelve hundred sixty seven undergone Coronary angiography (CAG) for ACS having estimated rate (eGFR) calculated through Cockcroft-Gault equation >90ml/min were selected. They divided into two groups on the basis eGFR, group A normal eGFR (90-120ml/min) B i-e >120ml/min (GHF). Variables like age, gender, BMI, Diabetes mellitus (DM), Hypertension, Smoking, history previous cardiovascular diseases (CVD) family CVD obesity studied. Findings CAG results from Cath lab also noted down. All relevant data was analyzed SPSS 16. Results: Out 1267 807 had 460 GHF. Mean age 45± 8.5years 45.6± 7.8years, mean 102ml/min 146ml/min B.P 110/80 135/90 mmHg respectively. Association GHF younger B.P, significant P value <0.05. Patients (CAD) P-0.036. between 145-175ml/mid worst angiographic results, 80% those CAD. Conclusion: has strong association is a predictor severity disease.
